Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are small, energetic dogs that are part of the toy group. They are known for their loving, gentle nature and good looks. They are also intelligent and eager to please, making them a great choice as a pet. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels love being around people and other dogs, but are independent-minded and need plenty of space to run and play. They require regular brushing and grooming and regular veterinary care to remain healthy.
The Cavalier King Charles is one of the most strikingly beautiful dogs due to its silky soft coat and long ear fringes. This breed typically has a medium-length, thick coat with a silky texture. The coat comes in four different colors Blenheim (red and white), Tri-color (black, tan, and white), Ruby (all red) and Black and Tan. Regular care and grooming is essential for this breed to maintain their healthy coat.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels should not be fed things like chocolate, sugar, alcohol, grapes, nuts, onions, and avocados, as these can be toxic to them. Additionally, raisins, macadamia nuts, and caffeine should be avoided. Their digestive systems are also not able to digest raw foods such as meat and veggies, and should not be fed such hydrogenated oils, which could cause digestive issues.
