They were bred for affection, beauty and agility and considered to be the perfect lap dog. Due to their sweet personalities and striking good looks, they have become a beloved breed of pet for many families all around the world. The bright, heartfelt eyes of the breed portrays its loving nature, and the breed has gained a reputation for its intelligence and independence.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are not generally considered hypoallergenic, as they can produce allergens, albeit in generally mild amounts. Despite their long, luxurious coats, Cavaliers are generally considered to be low-shedding dogs, which can be beneficial for individuals who suffer from mild allergies to pets.
