Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are known to be some of the most affectionate and friendly breeds. As the official breed of England, they have played important roles in many notable people's lives, including Winston Churchill and Frank Sinatra. Other fun facts about these powerful little dogs include their love for cuddles and their tendency to be lap-based dogs. They come in four colors Blenheim (red and white), Black and Tan, Prince Charles, and Ruby – and can also have uniquely fur markings.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are considered hypoallergenic, in that they do not produce an abundance of allergens in their coats that would cause reactions in humans with allergies. However, there is no such thing as a completely hypoallergenic breed of dog; most dogs produce some level of allergens. The amount of allergens a Cavalier produces is low, and it has been found to be one of the breeds least likely to trigger allergies.
