An Cavalier King Charles is a breed of small spaniel that originated in England in the 17th century. Originally bred as lap dogs, their name evolved from their association with King Charles II of England. Recognisable by their silky and remarkably soft coats, they also have beautiful large eyes and posses an affectionate and amusing demeanor. The outer coat is long, straight, and silky, while the undercoat is short, thick, and downy. The Cavalier King Charles has more feathering on its legs, chest, and ears than other breeds. The face has a longer and wavier plume than other breeds, which may be wavy to silky depending on the individual.
To ensure the best nutrition for your Cavalier King Charles, you should look for a dog food that has been specifically formulated for small dogs. It should contain ingredients that are rich in omega fatty acids and antioxidants to promote healthy skin and coat, as well as joint health.
