The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a small breed of dog that originated in the United Kingdom. This breed is most well known for their long, silky coats and beautiful, large eyes. Cavaliers are gentle, friendly, and love spending time with their families. They are great companions and make excellent playmates for children. The breed is highly adaptable and usually very tolerant of other animals in the home. Cavaliers require plenty of time for exercise and activity, as they are very active and playful. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels do have some hypoallergenic qualities, however, they are not considered fully hypoallergenic dogs.
