During this time, these dogs were seen as a sign of great wealth and status, exhibited in several Renaissance paintings. In addition, the Cavalier King Charles' sweet and gentle personality, and its general love of people, make it a great companion for just about anyone.
The Cavalier King Charles is blessed with a beautiful, silky coat. Its long, luxurious fur has a sheen to it and comes in four different colors – Blenheim, Ruby, Black and Tan and Tricolor. It ranges from light to deep in color, depending on the type of coat the individual Cavalier has. The coat also typically has a feathering effect around the ears, chest, feet and legs, giving the dogs a unique and distinguished look.
