Cavalier King Charles is a type of lapdog which comes from a breed of the same name. It was first developed in England in the 16th century during the reign of the Kings Charles I and Charles II. The dog is considered a small-to-medium-sized breed and has a variety of distinctive features, including a longer muzzle than other Toy breeds, with a charming, gentle expression. These dogs are known for their loving temperament, and generally quite active.
The Cavalier King Charles is an adorable breed and has a unique coat. It is silky and medium-length which consists of a naturally dense, straight texture. They commonly have long feathering around their paws, chest, ears and tail. Color varieties for the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel include ruby, king, tri-color, black and tan, and blenheim. The colors of ruby, blenheim, and tri-color all have coats that are predominantly white with two other colors.
Cavliers King Charles should not be fed anything with sugar, fatty foods, uncooked bones, grapes, raisins, onions, nuts, caffeine, alcohol, avocado, artichoke, mushrooms or any other human foods. Cavaliers King Charles need an adult formula diet containing protein, fat and carbohydrates plus the addition of Calcium, Vitamin D and Fibre.
