They are believed to date back to the 16th century, and their only job was to provide love and attention to their owners. Cavaliers have an incredibly gentle and loving nature, and are said to have an aura of regal grace about them. In addition to being loyal companions, Cavaliers are ideally suited for a variety of activities, such as agility, obedience, rally, and even tracking.
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has a beautiful, soft, medium-length coat that partially falls to the ground. The breed is known for its silky, wavy fur that can come in four different colors Blenheim (which is brown and white), Ruby (red and white), black and tan, and tricolor (black, white, and brown). All four of these colorings have white-tipped, long feathery feathering on the ears, chest, legs, and tail.
