For example, King Charles II of England was particularly enamored with this breed of dogs, hence their name. It's believed he owned as many as 30 dogs during his lifetime! Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are not considered hypoallergenic, however, they are known to be relatively low-shedding which may be helpful for people with allergies.
