Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are one of the oldest breeds in the world, having been bred as far back as the 16th century. They are known for having a gentle, sweet temperament and are an especially loyal breed of dog. Despite their diminutive stature, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are surprisingly adept at hunting, and have a very powerful nose! Although their silky coat may be short, their thick, wavy fur requires daily brushing and grooming which these dogs are known to quite enjoy.
It is often said that Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are hypoallergenic, however this is not strictly true.
