Cavapoos are classified as a "designer" breed, as they're the result of breeding a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a Poodle. Both of these breeds are recognized by the American Kennel Club, but Cavapoos do not yet merit this distinction. Cavapoos can vary quite a bit based on which parent breed they take their characteristics from, but in general they are small-to-medium size dog with a lowto no-shed coat and a friendly, charismatic personality.
Cavapoos are generally considered to be low-shed or non-shedding dogs due to the combination of their parent breeds – the Poodle and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
