Cavapoos are often referred to as 'designer dogs' because of the intentional blending of two very different breeds. Cavapoos are a mix of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Poodle. As a result, Cavapoos tend to have a playful, friendly, and intelligent personality. They are also very easy to train and have a great temperament, making them an ideal family pet. They are often good with children and other animals, and do not bark excessively. Cavapoos are also good for people with allergies since they do not shed and require minimal grooming.
Cavapoos are often sought after for their low-shedding and hypoallergenic coats. While not technically non-shedding, Cavapoos shed much less than most other dogs, making them an excellent choice for those with allergies or who want a pet that doesn't shed excessively. Cavapoos generally have wavy or curly coats that require regular brushing, but the minimal grooming required makes them a low-maintenance choice.

However, size can vary significantly depending on the parents, so there is no guarantee of size. Generally, they tend to be larger if the Poodle parent is larger, and they will be smaller if the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel parent is also smaller. Some Cavapoos may be considerably smaller or considerably larger than the average size, even if the parents are within the normal size range.
