Cavapoos tend to be relatively low-shedding and low-dander, so they may be suitable for people who suffer from allergies. Additionally, Cavapoos are often intelligent, so they are easy to train. Cavapoos are typically curious and take close to their families, meanwhile they typically love being with other dogs.
The Cavapoo coat is truly unique! It is typically a combination of both a Poodle's wavy fleece coat and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel's silky coat. Typically the coat is low shedding and incredibly soft, meaning it won't cause any itching or discomfort. It also means the Cavapoo is an excellent companion for those with allergies. The coat comes in a variety of colors, with the most common being shades of white, sable, and cream.
Cavapoos are prone to digestive sensitivities, so it is important to know what is not safe for them to eat. To be sure what not to feed your Cavapoo, avoid giving them grapes, raisins, chocolate, onions, garlic, macadamia nuts, and any other human food that is high in fat or high in sugar. Additionally, it is important to avoid feeding them any sweetened canned foods or pet treats containing the artificial sweetener xylitol.
Cavapoo's are a hybrid cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle, so they don't have their own set of special requirements. For seniors, slow walks and indoor games that still require physical movement may be better suited.
