Cavapoos do well in a variety of climates, so these dogs are often travelers and can easily adapt to new environments.
The Cavapoo's coat is typically a mix of its parents' fur, the Poodle and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The coat stands out from other breeds because it can range in texture and length. It can be a soft and fluffy wavy coat, a straighter, shorter coat, or even a long, thick coat with tight curls. It may be a single-layered coat or a double-layered, depending on its individual breed mixture. Cavapoos will need regular brushing and combing or furminating.
Your Cavapoo will need a diet that is tailored to his individual needs. A high-quality dry kibble is an excellent foundation for a healthy diet, as it offers balanced nutrition that meets all of your dog's needs when it comes to proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. Cavapoos, being a crossbreed, have slightly different needs than purebred poodles and Cavaliers. Along with regular exercise, cavapoos need to be groomed often. This can include brushing, regular trimmings, and bathing. Food-wise, cavapoos need to on a balanced nutritious diet with a high-quality dog food.
Cavapoos are a hybrid breed formed by crossing a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle. Due to this hybrid mix, Cavapoos can vary greatly in size, ranging from a toy size of 10 pounds and under all the way up to over 40 pounds. Generally, Cavapoos are considered to be a medium-size dog. Nevertheless, smaller Cavapoos are only considered “toy” or “teacup” size while larger Cavapoos are considered to be in the “small to medium” size range.
One of the most important factors in determining how many minutes per day you should walk your Cavapoo is the amount of exercise they need. Generally, a moderate-exercise breed like the Cavapoo should have at least 30 minutes of exercise per day, split up into two to three individual walks of at least 10 minutes each. If your Cavapoo is particularly active, however, then they may need more exercise, so you can adjust accordingly. Keep in mind that any more than an hour of exercise per day may be too much for them.
Cavapoos make wonderful family dogs due to their friendly and loving nature. They are even-tempered, so they get along well with children, cats and other dogs. Cavapoos are also highly intelligent, which makes them easy to train. They need daily exercise and mental stimulation, and crave regular interaction with their owners.
