Cavapoos, also known as Cavadoodles, are a mix of a Toy or Miniature Poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. They have been around since the 1990s and are a relatively young hybrid breed. Cavapoos are a designer breed and are increasingly popular due to their intelligence, good-natured temperaments, adaptability, and hypoallergenic coats. They usually have gentle, friendly personalities as well as good socialization skills making them great family dogs.
Cavapoos, which are a hybrid of a Poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, are often referred to as a non-shedding breed. Generally, Cavapoos have low to moderate shedding, depending on which parent breed they take after. Because of the Poodle parent, most Cavapoos will have curly hair that doesn't shed as much as their Cavalier parent's straight, silky locks. However, it is still important to groom your Cavapoo to ensure minimum shedding and to maintain a healthy coat.
To ensure that your Cavapoo receives all of the nutrients they need, it's important to feed them a balanced diet comprised of high-quality, grain-free kibble that is formulated for dogs of their breed, size, and age.
