Cavapoos are a special breed of dog that is more than just a cute face! While they may look like small teddy bears, this breed is highly intelligent and known for its playfulness. Interestingly, Cavapoos were first bred in the United States in the 1990s, when breeders wanted to combine the trainability of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with the non-shedding qualities of the Poodle. The result was an outgoing, family-friendly lapdog that loves to be cuddled.
Cavapoos have a high-shedding, wavy, and often shaggy coats. It is usually one solid color but can sometimes show patches of two colors, as it is an unpredictable trait of crossbreeds. Cavapoos have a variety of coat types, ranging from thinner, more wiry coats, to thicker, fuller coats.
