Cavapoos are a hybrid breed of dog created from mixing a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle. They are considered a "designer breed" as they deliver the best of both worlds in terms of agility and intelligence of the Poodle and the gentle nature and sociable character of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Typical Cavapoo temperaments are friendly, confident, and intelligent. They are often referred to as "velcro dogs" because of their affectionate personalities and eagerness to please their owners.
The Cavapoo coat is typically soft and wavy, either long or short depending on the parent breeds. It tends to be heavier when both the Poodle and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel both bring their poodle genes to the mix, but can also be somewhat light when there is a greater ratio of King Charles genes in the mix.
