Cockapoos are hybrid dogs that are the result of crossing a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle. They are considered a "designer" breed and are categorized as a "companion" class dog due to their tendency to form strong bonds with their owners and their desire for companionship, exercise and mental stimulation. Cockapoos are friendly and outgoing, which makes them excellent family pets. They come in a variety of colors and coat types, and typically weigh between 10-28 pounds and measure 10-15 inches in height.
Cockapoos can certainly be non-shedding depending on which one you get. Typically a first-generation Cockapoo will be considered non-shedding because they are a cross between a purebred Poodle and a purebred Cocker Spaniel. Second-generation Cockapoos can still be non-shedding, however, it is important to note that you cannot guarantee a non-shedding dog no matter the breed or generation.

At a minimum, Cockapoos will need a moderate to long walk, two to three times a day, or even a nice game of fetch in the backyard.
