Cockapoos are small, friendly, intelligent, and active dogs. They are a mix between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle, making them a low-shedding, hypoallergenic breed. Cockapoos weigh anywhere from 10 to 30 pounds, depending on the size of their parents. They are a great family pet as they love spending quality time with their family and crave human companionship. It is also important to provide them with plenty of mental stimulation in the form of activities, puzzles, and interactive toys.
Generally speaking, Cockapoos are low-shedding dogs. While any dog possesses the potential to shed its fur, most Cockapoos tend to be significantly less likely to do so compared to other varieties. This is due to their cross breeding which has resulted in a coat that consists of a combination of the parent breeds' coats, creating a low shedding texture. As a result, Cockapoos generally require much less brushing than their full-breed cousins, and are generally less likely to cause allergic reactions as there will be less dander in the long run.
