Cockapoos are one of the most popular hybrid dogs, created by crossing a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle. Cockapoos are known to be intelligent, friendly, and active animals with lots of energy. They are often friendly and outgoing with people, but can also be shy if not well socialized. Cockapoos are typically low-shedding dogs, making them a good choice for many who suffer from allergies. With proper training, Cockapoos make great household companions and can even learn tricks.
The Cockapoo coat is a moderately long, wavy, and soft coat. It belongs to the non-shedding breed group and is like that of a teddy bear. The Cockapoo's coat can be either curly or straight with some short hound-like hairs along the head. Generally, the coat will not need to be clipped and trimmed, just occasionally tidied up. Many Cockapoos have a silky coat that requires little brushing to keep it looking neat and tidy.

Generally speaking, Cockapoos require at least two walks of 30 minutes each day, with additional playtime in between. For Cockapoos over the age of two, it's important to include more vigorous activities such as fetch, chasing a ball, or running, to work different muscle groups, and additionally, a mental stimulation exercise to keep their minds sharp.
Cockapoos are an excellent choice for families due to their energetic and affectionate personalities. They are very intelligent, making them excellent companions and eager to learn. Plus, Cockapoos are incredibly friendly and outgoing. They make excellent playmates for children, loving their attention and affection. In addition, these dogs don't require an intense amount of exercise due to their size, so you won't have to worry about your family having to invest a significant amount of time in this activity. Also, Cockapoos are not known to bark excessively and are quite content with making their owners happy.
Every Cockapoo is different, but generally speaking, it's important to spend at least 15-20 minutes per day dedicated to training your Cockapoo. Training sessions should include commands and activities that you want the Cockapoo to learn and master. To ensure your Cockapoo is getting enough exercise, it is important to add in an additional 30 minutes of playtime, either in a fenced area or a long walk on a leash. Even with occasional breaks, these 50 minutes of mental and physical stimulation should help your Cockapoo lead a happy and healthy life.
