Cockapoos are hybrids of a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle. They are one of the oldest designer breeds and are known for their intelligence and loyalty. Cockapoos come in a variety of colors and sizes, ranging from teacup or toy Cockapoos that weigh five pounds or less, to large Cockapoos that can weigh up to 30 pounds. They are also active but also tend to be quite calm and patient. On average, a Cockapoo will live for 12 to 15 years, making them a perfect long-term addition to a family.
The Cockapoo's coat can vary considerably depending on the breeding parent's coats. Generally, the texture of the Cockapoo's coat is very soft and thick and can range from short, wavy fur, to a longer, wavy curly coat.
