The popularity of Cockapoos began in the United States in the 1950s, and have grown in popularity ever since. They are small to medium-sized dogs that usually have a softly-curled, wavy coat and come in many colors including black, tan, white, and red.

This hybrid breed isn't necessarily hypoallergenic, yet they tend to have a lower-shedding coat that ranges in a variety of colors, including black, brown, cream, sable, red, and combinations of all these colors. Cockapoos generally have the same dietary needs as other dogs.
