Cockapoos are a hybrid breed that originated in the United States in the 1960's. They are a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle, usually a Toy or Miniature Poodle. Cockapoos have a reputation for being affectionate, loyal, and intelligent, which makes them great family dogs. They take on the best of both breeds, having the energy and intelligence of the Poodle as well as the laid-back, friendly demeanor of the Cocker Spaniel.
