Cockapoos are a hybrid, or designer, breed of dogs. This means that they are a combination of two other breeds; usually a Cocker Spaniel and a Toy or Miniature Poodle. They are classified as a non-sporting mixed breed. The Cockapoo is known for having an even-tempered, playful, and social personality. Cockapoos can range in size from tiny to larger-than-life, depending on the size of their parents.
Managing allergies with Cockapoos can be a tricky task, as the breed is hybridized for its tendency to be low-shedding and hypoallergenic. It's important to understand that Cockapoos may still carry allergens, including pollen, dander, and saliva, and if you are prone to allergies these can still cause an adverse reaction.
Cockapoos should not be fed any type of food that they are not specifically formulated for. Human food is not suitable for Cockapoos as some of them can contain high levels of sodium, fats, sugars, and other ingredients that are not safe for your pet's health. Avocado, chocolate, onions, garlic, grapes, raisins, and sugary treats are not suitable as they can be toxic to pets. Raw meat, eggs, and dairy products may also contain bacteria that can make your pet sick.

Cockapoos are considered a small to medium-sized breed. On average, they tend to weigh between 10 and 25 pounds and stand at about 10-15 inches tall at the shoulder. However, it is important to point out that they can grow up to 40 lbs depending on the size of the parents if they are not properly bred and/or exercised. Generally, they reach their full size anywhere between 12-18 months of age. The lifespan of a Cockapoo typically ranges from 12-15 years.
