As a highly intelligent hybrid breed, Cockapoos make excellent family pets since their loyal nature and amiable dispositions make them incredibly easy to train. Additionally, Cockapoos are incredibly adaptable to different types of households and families, so they’re the perfect breed for those who have unique living situations.
Cockapoos are sometimes referred to as hypoallergenic due to their mixed-breed nature which makes them less likely to shed. However, whether or not a Cockapoo will be hypoallergenic ultimately depends on their genetic background. A Cockapoo's parents, both Cockers and Poodles, may be more or less prone to shedding which can have a substantial effect on their overall allergen levels.
Cockapoos typically require a high-quality diet that includes proteins, beneficial fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. Lean proteins such as chicken, turkey, lamb, and fish are generally recommended for them.
