Here are a few fun facts about Dachshunds: Dachshunds range in size from the "miniature" to the "standard" and they typically come in three coat varieties – short-haired, wire-haired, and long-haired.

Puppies naturally have more energy and if not burned off, can become hyperactive, which can lead to behavioral issues. Obese or overweight dogs also require more exercise for weight control.
