They do best with a family that is nurturing and aware of the energy level this breed requires for daily mental and physical stimulation. French Bulldogs are generally good-natured and make excellent companion dogs. They are known to be loving and affectionate with their owners and socialize well with other pets; however, they may be suspicious of strangers. This breed is energetic and loves attention, but it doesn't require an extensive exercise regimen.
The French Bulldog has a short, fine, soft coat that is smooth to the touch. The fur is generally accepted to be short, shiny, and tight-sitting. French bulldog colors may range from white, cream, tan, black and brindle. These colors may be solid or may appear in pairs or combinations.
