They are part of the non-sporting group of breeds and are the result of a cross between a Toy Bulldog and a local French terrier. Frenchies are known for their friendly personalities, muscular body, unique bat ears, and wide-set eyes. They are easily recognizable and come in a few different colors. French Bulldogs generally weigh under 28 pounds and are about 11 inches tall.
French Bulldogs typically do not shed like other breeds. They typically have a single coat, which means that they do not have an undercoat, which is necessary for heavier shedding.
