A French Bulldog is a breed of small domestic dog that originates in France. Its characteristic bat-like ears make it one of the most recognizable of all dog breeds. French Bulldogs are not considered to be large-breed dogs. However, they are certainly not small either. A mature French Bulldog typically stands between 11 inches and 13 inches tall and weighs between 16 and 28 pounds. By comparison, a regular “medium” dog weighs between 33 and 60 pounds.
