French Bulldogs, or "Frenchie" as they are often known, are a small, muscular dog breed that belongs to the non-sporting group. They have short, stout legs and the shape of their head is often compared to that of a bulldog. French Bulldogs typically have a soft and gentle nature and enjoy spending time with their families, curling up on their lap for a nap. They do require regular exercise, but not as much as many other breeds due to their low energy.
French Bulldogs are not hypoallergenic. Despite the heavy shedding of their large coats, French Bulldogs are actually considered to be a moderate allergen for people who are sensitive to pet dander and fur. However, depending on the individual, some breeds may be little better tolerated than others.
