French Bulldogs are one of the more expensive breeds (which we will explain a little later), but prices range from breeder to breeder. This is generally based on how much experience a company or breeder has, and on factors such as pedigree and coat color. When you use the Uptown Puppies network, you can set your preferences to within a certain budget for your ease.
French Bulldogs are highly unique-looking dogs, with expressive faces and a small build. Originally from England, Frenchies were taken to France by female farmworkers to scare away the rats. At one point these perfect pets came to be associated with royalty, and have since become the sixth popular dog in the homes around the USA.
French Bulldogs are more expensive than other breeds of dog because they are bred and birthed differently. Due to the narrow structure of their hips, French Bulldogs cannot reproduce naturally with ease. This means that breeders (or breeding companies) have to artificially inseminate the dogs, and then arrange for C-sections - which all contribute to the cost.
You can choose how to set your preferences on our network, and this includes the area search too. While you can choose to stick to your neighborhood, you have the option to match with French Bulldog breeders across the entire USA. Almost all of our companies and breeders offer puppy transportation to major airports as part of their package.
We are approached by breeders and companies on a daily basis, but only a select few meet our screening requirements. Less than 10% of applicants are registered; based on factors such as experience, humane breeding practice, and healthcare to name a few. Once a breeder or company is selected, it is compulsory for them to sign a binding legal document to uphold our standards.

Puppy mills are terrible and inhumane companies that neglect to look after puppies, focusing instead on maximizing profits. Factors such as tightly packed living conditions and zero healthcare mean that the dogs from a puppy mill are often weak, sick or injured. On top of that, they are plagued with behavioral problems from the mistreatment.
