German Shepherds are well-known for their combination of athleticism and intelligence. So while they’ll never say no to regular walks, they also need plenty of activity designed to make them think as well. Training sessions, agility, or even food puzzles at home will all keep your German Shepherd’s brain ticking over, which makes them happier too!
The German Shepherd breed matures to be a large, muscular dog. Males will usually end up somewhere between 24 and 26 inches tall, and weigh between 65 to 90 pounds. Females typically mature slightly smaller, so should stand 22 to 24 inches tall, and weigh roughly 50 to 70 pounds.
