They are typically good-natured and excel in sports, search and rescue, and sniffing tasks. They are extremely loyal and love to be around people, making them the perfect companions for all ages. While they are highly trainable, they also have a mischievous side and will often get themselves into trouble if they are left unsupervised.
The coat of a Golden Retriever is typically dense and water-resistant, which makes them durable and well-suited for outdoor activities. The outer coat consists of a long straight topcoat, with the thickness varying depending on the environment. The color of a Golden Retriever can range from deep shades of gold, to lighter shades of red. The undercoat is generally thick and soft, making them an excellent addition to any family.
