One of the most interesting things about them is that they were bred specifically to be great family companions – they have a naturally friendly, outgoing, and loving demeanor that they pass down to their puppies. They are also highly intelligent, making them extremely easy to train, and can retrieve objects with ease. On top of that, their luxurious golden fur, as well as their tendency to remain active and playful well into old age, make them an incredibly popular pet among families.
The Golden Retriever has a distinctive medium-length, water-repellent coat. Its outer coat is wavy and thick, made up of straight guard hairs that cover the undercoat.
