Golden Retrievers have a medium length coat which is made up of a water-repellent, thick outer coat and a soft, dense inner coat. It's considered a moderate shedding breed, meaning they'll lose more fur than a low-shedding breed but less than a high-shedding breed. The breed does have a daily or every other day brushing schedule to help minimize shedding and keep their coat healthy. Regular baths and visits to the groomer to keep their hair at a manageable length are also recommended.
