Goldendoodles are a hybrid breed of dog, produced from a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. This designer breed combines the intelligence, trainability, and low-shedding coat of the poodle and the sweet personality and loyal disposition of the Golden Retriever. Goldendoodles are available in a range of sizes, from Miniature, which ranges from 10-25 pounds, to Standard, which ranges from 40-60 pounds. They make great family companions due to their sweet-temperament; they enjoy getting lots of attention and require daily exercise.
While a Goldendoodle may result in a reduced occurrence of allergies for some people, it depends on each individual's sensitivities. Most of the time a person who is allergic to dogs is sensitive to specific proteins in the saliva, dander and urine of all dogs.
