They are very popular companion dogs and are known for their intelligence, trainability, good-natured temperaments, and hypoallergenic, low-shedding coats. Goldendoodles typically conform to the standards of either Toy, Miniature, or Standard size classes within the American Kennel Club, but are not yet recognized as a breed by the AKC.
Generally speaking, Goldendoodles tend to be more hypoallergenic than other breeds of dogs. They are classified as low to non-shedding dogs, which can greatly reduce the amount of allergens that are in your environment. However, there is no guarantee that you won't experience any allergic reactions when you own a Goldendoodle. If your Goldendoodle is a puppy, it's best to start with short walks and gradually increase the length of the walks as he or she matures. For an adult Goldendoodle, at least 45 minutes of walking a day is recommended, but they can go up to 60 to 90 minutes of walking or running depending on the individual's level of fitness.
