Goldendoodles are a cross between a Golden Retriever and Poodle. They are considered a "designer dog" due to their hybrid origins, and generally have a curly to slightly wavy coat. Goldendoodles are typically sweet-natured, friendly, intelligent, and loyal. Depending on their size, they can be a good fit for families of any size. They are also known for being low to non-shedding, which is beneficial for those suffering from allergies. Goldendoodles also tend to be excellent with children.
Goldendoodles have a unique coat that sets them apart from other breeds. Their coats are soft and luxurious, usually with a wavy texture, and it may be a combination of curly, wavy, or straight hair. The Goldendoodle coat does not shed and requires very minimal maintenance generally, some occasional brushing and seasonal bathing will suffice.
