Goldendoodles are hybrid dogs with a mix of two popular parents, the Golden Retriever and the Poodle. They are a designer breed created to combine the outgoing, joyful personality of the Golden Retriever, and the non-shedding coat of the Poodle. Goldendoodles come in a variety of sizes, from the Mini Goldendoodle (between 20 to 30 pounds) to the Maxi Goldendoodle (70 to 90 pounds). Though their size and coat can vary greatly, the temperament for a Goldendoodle is always loving and intelligent.
Goldendoodles, being mixes of two highly allergenic breeds, Poodles and Golden Retrievers, can produce a wide range of dander skin cells and fur which tend to cause allergic reactions in people. However, every Goldendoodle's breeder welcomes potential owners to get tested for allergies prior to purchasing their pup. If you are allergic to either one of the Goldendoodle's parent breeds, you might be more likely to have allergies to a Goldendoodle, but this isn't always the case.

Common foods that should be avoided include chocolate, onions, grapes/raisins, garlic, and fatty table scraps.
