Goldendoodles are a unique breed of designer dog, created by hybridizing golden retrievers and poodles. These friendly, intelligent, and loyal dogs have a personality all their own. Goldendoodles come in different coat colors, sizes, and types, including mini, medium, and standard. They also are hypoallergenic, which makes them perfect for those with allergies. Goldendoodles are energetic, affectionate, and loving, making them a great pet for those who like to be active and have lots of companionship.
Goldendoodles have coats that vary depending on the generations of the dog. For example, F1 Goldendoodles have a wavy or curly coat that tends to be low to non-shedding. The F1b Goldendoodles, or second generation mix, generally have a curlier coat that is more likely to be low to non-shedding. F2 Goldendoodles are a combination of two F1 Goldendoodles and usually have a coat that is wavy and low to non-shedding.
Goldendoodles typically have the same basic dietary needs as other dogs, although the trade-off for the somewhat higher energy level is usually that the breed will need slightly more calories to stay healthy. With this in mind, their diet should be planned carefully to provide adequate nutrition while avoiding excess, which can lead to obesity and other health issues. That said, some owners may prefer to train for up to an hour each day to really get good results. Additionally, you should plan on regular training sessions throughout the week, with some days perhaps longer than others.
