Goldendoodles have a life expectancy of 10 to 15 years and are known for being intelligent, friendly, devoted and affectionate.
Managing allergies with Goldendoodles can be done by focusing on preventative measures. Start by brushing your Goldendoodle's coat at least once a week to minimize allergens. Additionally, disinfecting hard surfaces and vacuuming rugs and fabrics regularly can help to reduce allergens in the air. You should also bathe your dog regularly to halt any allergy-causing bacteria. Thoroughly dry the fur after bathing since any moisture can worsen allergies. Goldendoodles can range in size considerably based on the size of their parent breeds. Generally speaking, Goldendoodles of the Standard size can grow to anywhere from 45 to 100 pounds at peak adulthood and can be as tall as 30-inch at the shoulder. Miniature Goldendoodles reach heights of up to 15-inches tall and weigh between 15 to 40 pounds. The Toy Goldendoodle is the smallest size of the breed and these pups reach heights of only 10 inches tall while weighing between 4 to 6 pounds.
