Goldendoodles are an incredibly unique hybrid breed of dog, as they are the product of breeding a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. As a result, they are often recognized as being an incredibly intelligent and sociable breed that makes excellent family pets. One of the most interesting things about Goldendoodles is that due to their hybridization, they come in a wide variety of coat types and colors. The different combinations of fur, waviness, length, and color make each Goldendoodle completely unique and one-of-a-kind.
Goldendoodles are part poodle and part golden retriever, so they don't come with the guarantee of hypoallergenic fur like purebred poodles do. That being said, many Goldendoodles are still considered hypoallergenic due to a low-shed coat which makes a big difference for those who are sensitive to pet dander. This low-shed coat is due to a combination of the Goldendoodle's poodle genes (which are naturally hypoallergenic) and the non-shedding nature of the golden retriever.
Goldendoodles generally require a diet that accounts for their genetic makeup and activity level. Depending on age, genetics, activity level, and environment, Goldendoodles may require certain nutrients that are not typically found in dog food. As such, a Goldendoodle's dietary needs may vary.
