A Goldendoodle is often called a "designer breed," as it is known for having a lot of the desirable characteristics of both its parent breeds. Goldendoodles come in a variety of sizes, depending on which size Poodle was bred with the Golden Retriever, and in nearly any color you can think of.
Goldendoodles are considered to be a low-shedding breed, meaning they reduce allergic reactions in those who suffer from allergies and asthma. However, the exact degree of hypoallergenic nature depends on the parent breed used to create the Goldendoodle. Hybrids of standard Poodles and Golden Retrievers tend to have a more consistent pattern of coat and skin, which can reduce allergens in the home. Since Goldendoodles are a hybrid breed, there can be variations in their coat as well.
Knowing what not to feed Goldendoodles is important for keeping them healthy and happy. It's best to feed Goldendoodles a diet specific to their breed.
