Goldendoodles are a hybrid, or designer, breed of dog. They are a mix of a Golden Retriever and a Poodle; therefore, they are not a recognized breed with a specific classification. The breed has several classifications among breeders, however. The most common classifications are based on the size of the pup; mini Goldendoodles having been bred from a mini-poodle and a Golden Retriever, whereas standard Goldendoodles are bred from a standard-sized Poodle and Golden Retriever.
Whether or not Goldendoodles cause you to have allergies is an individual matter; as everyone experiences allergies differently.
