It is a mix of two of the most beloved purebred dogs; the Golden Retriever and the Poodle, and this perfect blend results in a breed with the best traits of each parent breed. People love them for their kind and gentle temperaments, making them great family pets that tend to get along with children.
Goldendoodles are generally known for their plush, curly coats. With a combination between the Poodle's curly locks and the Golden Retriever's thick, luxurious fur, many are amazed at what the Goldendoodle's coat has to offer. This breed is hypoallergenic and non-shedding, since they take after the Poodle in that department. Regular brushing is extremely important in order to ensure their coats stay healthy all throughout their life.
Goldendoodles, due to their hybrid nature, have dietary requirements that are different from other dog breeds. On average, an adult Goldendoodle needs 1.5 to 2.5 cups of food per day, split into two meals.
