Technically, Goldendoodles have no single official classification; they can be seen as retrievers, poodles, or a combination of both. What is certain is that Goldendoodles are smart, loyal, and affectionate companions who bring a lot of fun and sunshine into the lives of their owners. With a predictable, easily manageable temperament, they prove to be a great choice for families with children and other pets.
A Goldendoodle's coat can vary in texture and color due to a few factors such as genetics and nutrition. However, they are usually described as having a smooth, dense, low-to-non-shedding coat. The fur is usually soft to the touch and often wavy. Their coat is usually a mix of golden retriever and poodle colors, ranging from white, cream, blonde, apricot, reddish-brown, silver and grey. Some Goldendoodle coats may also have patterned patches.
Goldendoodles are sensitive to certain types of food, so it is important to know what to avoid feeding them. It's best to consult with a veterinarian for nutritional advice, as each dog can have different dietary needs and restrictions. Generally, Goldendoodles should avoid foods high in salt, fat, sugar, or artificial ingredients. Goldendoodles vary in size depending on what kind of dog their parents were standard Poodle, Miniature Poodle or Toy Poodle. Goldendoodles tend to be large enough to withstand roughhousing, but small enough to stay low to the ground and dodge out of the way of energetic kids. With the proper training, socializing and supervision, Goldendoodles and kids can be great companions.

Generally speaking, it is best to begin with 10-15 minutes of training a day and gradually increase that time each week as your dog's skill level increases. You may also need more time when you are teaching new commands and behaviors. To ensure that your Goldendoodle is getting the most out of their training, strive for a balance of consistency, repetition, and positive reinforcement.
