Goldendoodles are a hybrid breed and are a combination of two types of dogs; a purebred Golden Retriever and a purebred Poodle. They are a popular designer dog in the US, though their origins can be traced back several generations in the U.K. and Europe. Generally, Goldendoodles have the loyalty and intelligence of a Retriever, combined with the hypoallergenic coat and non-shedding characteristics of a Poodle.
Goldendoodles are a cross-breed between Poodles and Golden Retrievers, and while no breed is 100% hypoallergenic, Goldendoodles generally shed very little and produce much less dander than some other breeds.
