Goldendoodles are a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. They are bred for their friendly, loyal and affectionate temperament. Goldendoodles are highly intelligent and easily trained. They are low to non-shedding and are often recommended for people with allergies. Goldendoodles come in a variety of sizes and colors, including cream, golden, apricot, red, chocolate and black.
Some people are allergic to dander, which is present in the hair of all dogs (and other animals). The level of dander in each dog varies, however, and some people are more allergic to it than others. Goldendoodles have less dander than many other breeds of dog, which may make them a good choice for people with allergies. However, there is no guarantee that any particular dog will not cause allergies in a sensitive individual.
Goldendoodles generally enjoy the same types of food that any other dog does. This includes dry kibble, wet food, and a variety of snacks and treats.
