This means they bring together the best qualities of both the parent breeds, including a Golden Retriever's intelligence and a Poodle's family-friendly personality. Goldendoodles are within the mid-range of both breeds so they don't require as much grooming and shedding is usually minimal. They are also adaptable to different environments and can make a great addition to any active family home. Overall, what makes Goldendoodles so endearing is their sweet demeanor and loveable nature.
Goldendoodles are not considered to be a completely hypoallergenic breed. It is thought that some individuals with allergies may experience fewer allergies when around a Goldendoodle due to its combination of poodle and golden retriever lineage. While Goldendoodles are known to generally shed less than other breeds, they still require regular grooming and some shedding can occur. The apricot and red Goldendoodles possess a wavy or curly coat while the white Goldendoodle typically has a straighter coat and is more likely to shed.
