They have become incredibly popular in recent years due to their low-shedding coats, intelligence, and friendly personalities. Goldendoodles can be trained to do all sorts of activities, from agility competitions to therapy work. They're also incredibly loyal and affectionate.
Goldendoodles, a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle, are generally considered to be non-shedding dogs. They have low-shed coats which, depending on their lineage, can range in texture and length. Those with a higher percentage of poodle in them may have very little to no shedding at all, while those with a higher percentage of Golden Retriever may shed minimally.
As a Goldendoodle has high nutritional needs, careful consideration should be taken when deciding what to feed them. A high-quality diet made with real food ingredients, such as whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, and high-quality proteins is best. Make sure to choose food from a reputable brand that is specifically formulated for the life stage and size of your Goldendoodle. Additional supplements may also be necessary as Goldendoodles need specific vitamins and minerals to stay healthy.
Prior to getting a Goldendoodle, it is important to purchase necessary items like a proper collar and leash, food and water dishes, nail trimmers, grooming brush, chew toys, dog bed, dog carrier, crate, and playpen. Goldendoodles come in a variety of sizes that vary depending on the type of parent breeds used. Standard Goldendoodles are the largest size and are a cross between a Golden Retriever and Standard Poodle, usually between 21-24 inches and 50-90 pounds. Mini Goldendoodles are the smaller version and are the result of a Mini Poodle crossed with a Golden Retriever, usually between 14-17 inches and 15-35 pounds.

However, if you want to maintain your Goldendoodle's weight and energy level, you should aim for at least 50 minutes of walking every day. The walk should be brisk, with a combination of trotting, jogging, and walking. Remember to take breaks throughout the walk as well. This will make sure that both you and your Goldendoodle stay safe and comfortable throughout the exercise.
